Second-year member of the Blue Hens who has earned one letter • 2011 Season:Competed in six meets for Delaware • one of three runners to earn team’s Most Improved Award • ran the UMES Lid-Lifter Invitational in 20:04 to finish 29th and ran the Fordham Invitational in 20:38 to finish 98th • came in 31st in 24:59 at the Delaware Invitational and 350th in 24:26 at the Paul Short Invitational • placed 25th at the Blue & Gold Invitational in 26:00 and 144th at the ECAC Championships in 20:35.

Indoor Track & Field:
Second-year member of the Blue Hens • 2011-12 Season: Did not compete in any meets • 2010-11 Season: Was not a member of the team.

Outdoor Track & Field:
Second-year member of the Blue Hens • 2011-12 Season: Did not compete in any meets • 2010-11 Season: Was not a member of the team.

High School: Four-year member and two-year letterwinner of the cross country and track & field teams at Wissahickon High School • named all-league honorable mention her final two seasons • selected team’s Most Improved Runner as a junior and Most Dedicated Runner as a senior • served as team captain during senior year • member of National Honor Society • Vice President of Amnesty International • captain of Relay For Life team.

Personal: Rachel Christine Amey • daughter of Kenneth and Edith Amey • father is an engineer and mother is a teacher • inspired by her father, who is a marathon runner • neuroscience major at Delaware who aspires to become a physician’s assistant.
