The Blue Hens placed four runners among the top 10 finishers and posted a team score of 38, just five points behind Division I team champion University of Maryland. Mt. St. Mary’s was third with 87 points followed by Maryland-Eastern Shore, Morgan State, and Howard. West Chester won the Division II/III team title with 37 points followed by Franklin & Marshall, Wilmington, Ursinus, Eastern, and Goldey Beacom.

In the men’s eight-kilometer race, Maryland claimed the Division I team title with 26 points followed by Mt. St. Mary’s, Howard, Maryland-Eastern Shore, and Morgan State. The Delaware Track Club, running unattached as a non-intercollegiate varsity team, earned 52 points which would have been good for second place. Franklin & Marshall won the Division II/III team title with 38 points. West Chester was second followed by Ursinus, Wilmington, Goldey-Beacom, and Eastern.

Prettyman covered the six-kilometer course in 24:02.15 to place third overall and lead the Hens for the third time in four outings this fall. Her teammate, freshman Nicole Daly (at left in photo), was right behind in fifth place with a time of 24:10.17. Daly has led the Hens once and been second three other times this season.

The Blue Hens also put two other runners in the top 10 as Katrina Steenkamer was eighth in a time of 24:27.03 and Sophie Kauffman was 10th with a time of 24:42.33.
