Andrea Slane Tied For Sixth, Blue Hens Eighth Following First Round of Wisconsin Badger Invitational

VERONA, Wis. -- Blue Hen freshman Andrea Slane carded a two over par 74 and is tied for sixth place while the University of Delaware women’s golf team sits in eighth place in the team standings Sunday following the first round of the Wisconsin Badger Invitational.
The second round was interrupted by a thunderstorm, and was eventually suspended due to darkness. The round will be completed Monday morning beginning at 8 a.m., with the third and final round to immediately follow.
Slane (at right) was the top Blue Hen finisher during the first round with her 74 on the par 72, 6,205-yard University Ridge Golf Course. Freshman Amanda Terzian, playing as a individual, carded a seven over par 79 during her opening round to tie for 20th place, while classmate Sarah Skurla fired an eight over par 80 and is tied for 25th place. Annie Bowlsby is tied for 30th place following her nine over par 81, while Baralee Theinthong carded an 11 over par 83 to finish the round tied for 39th place. Frida Nilsson shot a 13 over par 85 during her round, and is tied for 43rd place.
Lindsay Danielson of Wisconsin leads the individual standings with a three under par 69, one shot ahead of Felicia Espericueta who carded a two under 70.
The Blue Hens posted a 318 team score to finish the opening round in eighth place out of 10 teams. The host Badgers lead the team standings at 292, while SMU is second at 304 and Georgetown is third at 305.
