University of Delaware Women’s Golf Team Posts 12th Place Finish at Michigan Wolverine Invitational

Day Two Results
ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Delaware women’s golf squad posted its lowest team score of the weekend on Sunday as the Blue Hens finished in 12th place at the Michigan Wolverine Invitational.
Delaware recorded a 319 team score during Sunday’s final round, moving up one spot to finish 12th out of 14 teams with a three-round total of 991. Michigan and Florida International tied for first place with identical 930 scores while Xavier, Illinois and Eastern Michigan each tied for third at 933.
Delaware freshman Nathalie Filler carded a 10 over par 81 during her final round on the par 71, 6,112-yard University of Michigan Golf Course, finishing in a tie for 41st place in the individual standings with a 33 over par 82-83-81-246.
Fellow rookie Vimonthip Benjasupawan also fired an 81 on Sunday, as she tied for 54th place with a 36 over par 82-86-81-249. Senior Frida Nilsson (at right) had the lowest round of the day by a Blue Hen, carding a six over par 77 and finishing tied for 58th at 87-88-77-252, 39 over par.
UD sophomore Amanda Terzian recorded an 82 during her final round, tying her for 62nd place with a 41 over par 79-93-82-254. Playing as an individual, sophomore Baralee Theinthong also shot an 82 on Sunday and also tied for 62nd place with an 89-83-82-254.
Classmate Annie Bowlsby, who fired an 80 during her final round, tied for 67th place with a 43 over par 91-85-80-256 during the weekend.
Alyssa Kwon of Eastern Michigan, Alicia Weber of Michigan, and Meghan MacLaren of Florida International all tied for first place by finishing at 14 over par.
Delaware returns to action on Oct. 5-6 when the Blue Hens compete in the Rutgers Invitational in Piscataway, N.J.
