Cross Country - Has earned a letter for the Blue Hens. 2010 Season: Competed in three races for the Blue Hens and two other times in open races • finished 39th at the Delaware Invitational in 21:12.4 8 placed 56th at the Blue & Gold Invitational in 21:30.98 • ran the Penn State Invitational in 25:42.2 to finish in 153rd place • also competed in the Paul Short Invitational and ECAC Championships. 2009 Season: Competed in two events for the Blue Hens • finished 41st at the Delaware Invitational in 21:16.76 • finished 90th at the Blue & Gold Invitational in 22:23.2. 2008 Season: Competed in five meets for the Blue Hens • finished 139th at the Princeton Invitational in 29:13 and 47th at the Delaware Invitational in 22:50 • placed 118th at the George Mason Invitational in 26:30 and 62nd at the Blue Hen Classic in 21:55.93 • was 41st in the JV Race at the ECAC Championships in 26:17.
Indoor Track & Field - Has earned one letter for the Blue Hens. 2010-11 Season: Ran the mile in 5:25.00 at the Maryland Invitational, the third fastest time by a Blue Hen in the event on the year • posted a time of 3:40.20 in the 1,000 meters at the Delaware Invitational. 2009-10 Season: Recorded a time of 2:44.72 in the 800 meters at the Thomson Invitational • posted a season-best 5:56.78 in the mile at the Keogh Invitational. 2008-09 Season: Ran the 800 meters in 2:48.95 at the Delaware Invitational • finished the mile in 5:47.86 at the Colonial Invitational and the 3,000 meters in 11:56.23 at the Thomson Invitational.
Outdoor Track & Field - Two-year letterwinner. 2011 Season: Ran the 800 meters in 2:38.64 at the Towson Invitational • finished the 1,500 meters in 5:13.36 at the West Chester Open. 2010 Season: Ran a career-best 5:01.54 in the 1,500 meters at the CAA Championships • finished the 3,000 meters in 11:44.94 at the Delaware Open II • completed the 800 meters in 2:33.55 during the Penn Invitational. 2009 Season: Ran the 800 meters in 2:42.08 at the Towson Invitational and the 1,500 meters in 5:27.49 at the West Chester Open.
High School: Three-year varsity member of cross country team and track teams at Brandywine High School • earned team’s Most Improved award in 2007 • three-year member of varsity diving team at Brandywine • honor roll student.
Personal: Allison Ann "Allie" Gedney • born Nov. 8, 1990 • daughter of Dorothy Gedney • mother attended the University of Delaware • pre-veterinary medicine and biosciences major at Delaware with a minor in food and agribusiness management • applying to veterinary school and helped with surgery on a tamarian monkey and porcupine over the summer.
