University of Delaware’s Kelsey Kaminsky, Grace Wills Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

NEWARK, Del. -- University of Delaware women’s lacrosse student-athletes Grace Wills (top right) and Kelsey Kaminsky (below left) have been named to the 2012 Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association NCAA Division I Academic Honor Roll.
Kaminsky, a junior defender from Little Rock, Ark. (South Lyons High School, Mich.) and Wills, a senior defender and team captain from Baltimore, Md. (St. Paul’s School for Girls) were among 173 student-athletes from 56 different schools honored.
All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and have achieved at least junior eligibility and have posted outstanding academic records.
Wills, who earned her degree in communications with a minor in journalism this past May, was a four-year letterwinner and two-year starter on defense. She started all 17 games as a senior in 2012 and ranked among the team leaders with 17 groundballs and six caused turnovers. For her career, she played in 41 games and registered 34 groundballs. She was a two-time member of the Colonial Athletic Association Academic Honor Roll and earned her team’s UD Sportsmanship Award as a senior.
Kaminsky, an exercise science major, did not see game action in 2012 but did played in two contests during the 2011 campaign. She was a two-time member of the Colonial Athletic Association Commissioner’s Academic Honor Roll
A total of 14 student-athletes from Colonial Athletic Association institutions were honored with Delaware’s two recipients tied for the third most in the conference.
