University of Delaware to Host Spring Track & Field Clinic May 1 at the Delaware Mini-Stadium

NEWARK, Del. -- The University of Delaware men’s and women’s track and field coaching staff will host a Spring Track & Field Youth Clinic on Sunday, May 1.
The clinic, designed for youth of all ages, will be held from 2-4 p.m. at the Delaware Mini-Stadium outdoor track behind Delaware Stadium. Participants will be grouped by age and ability.
Registration is $25 per participant if completed on-line by Friday, April 29, and $30 the day of the event. Each participant will receive a free t-shirt.

Participants will have an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the sprints, distance running, jumps, rotational shot and discus followed by active participation which include various skills, drills and techniques.
The clinic staff will include McFarlane (sprints/hurdles/relays), UD cross country and men’s track & field head coach Jim Fischer (distance), Larry Pratt (throws), Chris Watson (pole vault), and Terence Gadson (long jump).
