High School: Four-year varsity athlete at Bishop Shanahan • played soccer for Kevin Halliday and Peter Rohall • team improved its record in each of her final three seasons • squad went 37-32-5 in her four years, including 14-3-3 in 2010 • named first-team All-Chesmont, first team All-Area Soccer, honorable mention All-Southeastern Pennsylvania as a senior • earned second-team All-Chesmont and All-Area honors as a junior • named honorable mention All-Chesmont as a sophomore • given the West Chester United Soccer Club Jack Shapiro Scholarship for outstanding scholarship, citizenship and athleticism • earned two varsity letters in basketball and one in lacrosse • member of the National Honor Society • earned honor roll status in the honors curriculum all four years • 2011 award winner for excellence in pre-calculus/trigonometry • was a member of the Mathletes, photography club, yearbook and community service corps • will see former teammate Courtney McKee of Towson.
Personal: Nicole Marie George • daughter of John R. George Jr. and Patricia George • has a younger brother, John R. George III • father played ice hockey at Saint Joseph’s University from 1978-1982 and baseball in 1978 • began playing soccer at the age of five • lists her father as her biggest influence, as he coached her through grade school and taught her how to play sports • chose Delaware because of the academics, the campus, the facilities and recommendations from many alumni and current students • engineering major at the University and aspires to design eco-friendly buildings.
