NEWARK, Del. -- University of Delaware women’s soccer head coach Scott Grzenda and his staff will once again host one of the region’s top instructional camps for high school-aged girls this summer with the Blue Hen Elite Women’s Soccer Camp.
The camp, designed for women who are entering high school this fall or older, will be held from July 20-23 and will take place at the UD athletics complex off South College Avenue in Newark. The cost is $485 per camper with discounts available for groups of six or more.
To register, go to www.bluehensoccercamps.com or contact Grzenda at 302-593-2277 or by email at email@example.com. Registration forms are also available at www.bluehens.com/teams/womens-soccer.
The event is an excellent recruiting opportunity for campers, who will have the chance to play on the superb grass fields at the University of Delaware athletics complex. The daily schedule will include instructional sessions, games, and meals, as well as an afternoon of shopping on Main Street Friday. Campers will stay in Delaware’s newest dorms on the Laird Campus.
The camp will be directed by Grzenda, the only head coach in UD women’s soccer history. A three-time conference coach of the year, Grzenda will begin his 23rd season at the helm this fall. He is USSF licensed works with the Delaware Olympic Development Program, and teaches coaching courses for the Delaware Youth Soccer Association. The camp staff will also include veteran UD assistant coaches Ginna Lewing and Brian Sprinkle and current Saint Joseph’s head coach and former Blue Hen standout player Jess Reynolds.
