NEWARK, Del. -- University of Delaware junior Polly Reinicker, who anchored one of the league’s top defensive units in leading the Blue Hen women’s soccer squad to berth in the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament, has been honored with a spot on the Capital One/College Sports Information Directors of America Women’s Soccer District 2 All-Academic second team.

Her grade point average was the third highest of those picked to the second team. She becomes the first Delaware women’s soccer student-athlete to earn a spot on the CoSIDA team since Megan Delaney earned second team honors in 2009.
A three-year letterwinner, Reinicker appeared in all 21 games and started 20 for the Blue Hens as a first-year starter this past fall, helping the team post a record of 10-7-4 (5-3-3 CAA) and advance to the CAA Tournament semifinals for the first time since 2005.
