Third-year transfer from Virginia Tech • UD All-Time Top-10 Lists: 100-breaststroke (1st, 1:03.45), 200-breaststroke (1st, 2:18.96), 200-IM (5th, 2:07.97), 200-medley relay (2nd, 1:44.61), 400-medley relay (1st, 3:46.73). 2009-10: One of the team's top breaststroke swimmers for the second season in a row • finished in 13th at the CAA Championships in the 100 breaststroke in 1:04.80 • came in 17th in the 200 breaststroke at the CAA's in 2:23.48 • second leg of the 400 medley relay team that won the Drexel race in 3:58.86 • also competed in the 200 IM with a season best of 2:12.07, finishing 33rd at teh CAA's. 2008-09 Season: Posted two top-five finishes during the CAA meet after placing fifth in the 100-breaststroke and 400-medley relay • broke the school record in both breaststroke events during the CAA meet • finished the 100-yard discipline in 1:03.45 and the 200- in 2:18.96 • also ranked third on the team in the 200-IM with a 2:07.97 showing at the conference championships • competed on the team’s top 200- and 400-medley relay teams as well.
High School: Standout swimmer at Wilson High School • competed in the breaststroke and led team to district championship • two-time state champion • All-America, All-State, and All-League selection.
Personal: Marianne Katherine Flynn • daughter of Paul and Barbara Flynn • has an older sister Katelyn and a younger brother James • Katelyn competed as a swimmer for Providence • communications major at Delaware.
