UD All-Time Top-10 Lists: 200-butterfly (6th, 2:07.73), 100-breaststroke (7th, 1:06.81), 400-individual medley (10th, 4:37.60). 2009-10 Season: One of the team's top butterfly swimmers, posting the best time for the Blue Hens in the 200 • won the Loyola event in 2:07.73 in the 200 butterfly • finished third in the 100 Butterfly at Drexel in 59.44 • came in 22nd at the CAA's in the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.81 • came in fourth at La Salle in the 200 breaststroke in 2:28.77 • also competed 200 IM and the 400 IM for head coach John Hayman.
High School: Four-year standout for the Damascus High School swim team • set three team records, including the 100-breaststroke • finished in the top-10 in four events at the Washington Metropolitan Interscholastic Swimming Championships • captured the 100-breaststroke title at the Metro meet • also was a two-time county champion • four-time PVS Scholar Athlete • three-time USA Swimming Scholastic All-American.
Personal: Sarah Marie VanDoren • daughter of Tom and Karen VanDoren • has a younger brother, Brian • four-year member of the Honor Roll and a Maryland Distinguished Scholar recipient • majoring in European studies at Delaware • plans to work for the CIA after graduation.
