High School: Four-year letterwinner at Middletown High School • named Scholastic Academic All-American • made Delaware first team All-State all four years • named Middletown High School Athlete of the Year as a senior • record holder for Middletown High School in 100-yard breast, 100-yard back, 200-yard IM, 100-yard free, 500-yard free, 200-yard free • member of the National Honor Society • granted the American Association of University Women award • graduated at the top five percent of the Middletown class of 2011.
Personal: Calli A. Marando ("muh-ran-dough") • daughter of Michael and Cindy Marando • has two siblings, Brooke and Mike • biological sciences major at Delaware who hopes to become a dentist • brother, Mike, is a junior at Delaware.
