At Delaware:UD All-Time Top-10 Lists: 100-Backstroke (5th, 58.83), 200-IM (5th, 2:06.87). 2011-12 Season: Set the fifth fastest time in school history while winning the 100-yard backstroke at the Maryland Terrapin Invitational with a time of 58.83. Placed third in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:06.87 at the Maryland Terrapin Invitational while setting the fifth fastest time in school history for the event. Won the 200 yard individual medley with a time of 2:11.91 vs. Georgetown. Finished 5th in the 200-yard freestyle at the Maryland Terrapin Invitational.
High School: Four-year letter winner for Central Bucks South High School • holds records at C.B. South in 200-yard IM, 100-yard free, and 100-yard back • four-year Academic All-American • was the 2010 District 1 champion • named 2011 Suburban One Swimmer of the Year • four-year all-league and three year All-State honoree• member of the National Honor Society and Spanish Honor Society • participated in student council • was on honor roll.
Personal: Lauren Mary Ahrens ("air-ins") • daughter of James Ahren and Donna Ahrens • has two siblings, Jamie and Steve Ahrens • health and physical education major at Delaware • sister, Jamie, graduated from Delaware • was a lifeguard over the summer.
