At Delaware:UD All-Time Top-10 Lists: 100-Backstroke (10th, 59.68). 2011-12 Season: Recorded the 10th fastest time in school history in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 59.68 at the CAA Championships where she finished tied for 31st. Recorded a third place finish in the 100-yard freestyle at the season opener against Georgetown. Finished with a seasons best 24.70 time in the 50-yard freestyle at the CAA Championships where she finished 30th. Had a personal seasons best time of 59.68 in the 100-yard backstroke at the CAA Championships where she finished 31st.
High School: Four-year varsity letterwinner • captain of the swim team senior year • received All-State honors • first team as a senior, second team in 2010, and honorable mention as a sophomore • earned the Principal’s Award and was an Honor Roll student.
Personal: Brittany C. Lazear ("luh-zeer") • daughter of David and Theresa Lazear • has four brothers, David, Johnny, Chris, and Matthew • exercise science major at Delaware • is a swim coach and lifeguard at Drummond Hill Pool in Newark, Del.
