At Delaware: UD All-Time Top-10 Lists: 100-Breaststroke (5th, 1:04.64). 2011-12 Season: Swam the fifth fastest time in school history in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:04.64 at the CAA Championships where she finished 13th. Recorded the 11th fastest time in the 200-yard breaststroke while finishing 20th at the CAA Championships. Placed third in the 100-yard breaststroke and 200-yard breaststroke events at the meet against Drexel. Came in second place in the 100-yard breaststroke at the meet against Widener. Set a personal season’s best time of 25.21 in the 50-yard freestyle event at the Bucknell Invitational where she finished 25th. Finished 28th at the CAA Championships in the 200-yard individual medley with a season’s best time of 2:08.94.
High School: Four-year letterwinner at Middletown High School • named Scholastic Academic All-American • made Delaware first team All-State all four years • named Middletown High School Athlete of the Year as a senior • record holder for Middletown High School in 100-yard breast, 100-yard back, 200-yard IM, 100-yard free, 500-yard free, 200-yard free • member of the National Honor Society • granted the American Association of University Women award • graduated at the top five percent of the Middletown class of 2011.
Personal: Calli A. Marando ("muh-ran-dough") • daughter of Michael and Cindy Marando • born October 23, 1992 • has two siblings, Brooke and Mike • biological sciences major at Delaware who hopes to become a dentist • was a lifeguard over the summer •brother, Mike, is a senior at Delaware.
