UD All-Time Top-10 Lists: 200-Butterfly (2nd, 2:03.65). 2011-12 Season: Swam the 200-yard butterfly in the second fastest time in school history with a time of 2:03.65 at the CAA Championships where she finished 15th. Recorded the 11th fastest 500-yard freestyle time in school history at the CAA Championships with a time of 5:05.81. Won both the 200-yard butterfly and 500-yard freestyle events at the meet against Widener. Won the 200-yard butterfly even at the meet against William & Mary. Set a personal season’s high time of 4:36.91 in the 400-yard individual medley while placing third at the meet against William & Mary. Set her season’s high time of 10:50.72 in the 1000-yard freestyle at the meet against Drexel and Northeastern.
High School: Four-year letterwinner at The Tatnall School • four-year first team All-State and all-conference • Scholastic All-American from 2008-10 • two-time state champion in 2009 and 2010 • also ran cross country at Tatnall, winning state championships in 2006 and 2010.
Personal: Megan Marie Northshield • daughter of Edward and Michelle Northshield • born August 12, 1992 • has a younger sister, Madison • environmental engineering major at Delaware • was a lifeguard and swim coach over the summer • avid surfer.
