Tennis Matches Versus Lafayette Cancelled, Rescheduled for 2012

NEWARK, Del. -- With an 80% chance of rain on Wednesday, the University of Delaware men’s and women’s tennis teams have cancelled their home matches against the Leopards of Lafayette College.
Unable make up the contests this season, the matches have been rescheduled until March 22, 2012 at 3 p.m.
Both Blue Hen squads are on a roll, coming off of a sweep of Hofstra University this past Sunday. The men’s team opened its Colonial Athletic Association schedule with a 7-0 win over the Pride; as the women’s team also grabbed its first CAA win of the year, 5-2.
The teams head into the University’s spring break this weekend as they head south to take on a majority of the CAA schedule. The men’s team will battle Virginia Commonwealth University on Saturday at 3 p.m. while the women’s squad takes on Old Dominion University of Monday at 2 p.m.
