Delaware Student-Athletes Post Best Semester GPA Ever

NEWARK, Del. – University of Delaware student-athletes posted their best semester grade point average (GPA) ever during the spring 2026 term with a 3.405, the department announced Monday. The term GPA puts the 2025-26 department-wide mark at 3.365 which solidifies the 12th-consecutive year and 25th-straight semester above a 3.000 for the Fightin' Blue Hens.

Nubia Evans-Shields

After a fourth place finish, along with a new personal best in the discus throw (51.56 meters), Nubia Evans-Shields was one of two athletes to represent the University of Delaware track & field program at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field East First Round. Evans-Shield tossed a throw of 47.28 meters in the event.
